Danny Garcia's Boxing Career
Danny Garcia was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. on March 20, 1988. He made his professional debut at the age of 19 years on November 17, 2007 against Mike Denby. Garcia defeated Denby via 1st round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Garcia became a world champion at the age of 24 after 22 professional fights. He challenged Érik Morales for the vacant WBC super-lightweight title and defeated Morales via 12-round unanimous decision, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the welterweight (WBC) titles also to become a two-division world champion.
Garcia's latest fight was a 9th-round RTD loss to Erislandy Lara at age 36, on September 14, 2024, in which he was fighting for the WBA (Regular) middleweight title.
