Zab Judah was born in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York City, New York, U.S. on October 27, 1977. He made his professional debut at the age of 18 years on September 20, 1996 against Michael Johnson. Judah defeated Johnson via 2nd round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Judah became a world champion at the age of 22 after 22 professional fights. He challenged Jan Piet Bergman for the vacant IBF super-lightweight title and stopped Bergman in the 4th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the welterweight (WBC, IBF, The Ring, WBA) title also to become a two-division world champion.
Judah's last fight was an 11th-round TKO loss to Cletus Seldin at age 41, on June 7, 2019.
