Kendall Holt's Boxing Career
Kendall Holt was born in Paterson, New Jersey, U.S. on June 14, 1981. He made his professional debut at the age of 19 years on March 30, 2001 against Frank Zorchak. Holt defeated Zorchak via 1st round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Holt got his first shot at a world title at the age of 26 after 23 professional fights. On September 1, 2007 Holt challenged Ricardo Torres' WBO super-lightweight title but lost via 11th round TKO.
He became a world champion on July 5, 2008 at the age of 27 years, after by defeating Ricardo Torres, the then-reining WBO super-lightweight champion, via 1st round KO. This was his 26th fight as a professional.
Holt's last fight was an 8th-round TKO loss to Lamont Peterson at age 31, on February 22, 2013, in which he was fighting for the IBF super-lightweight title.
