Errol Spence Jr. was born in Long Island, New York, U.S. on March 3, 1990. He made his professional debut at the age of 22 years on November 9, 2012 against Jonathan Garcia. Spence Jr. defeated Garcia via 3rd round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Spence Jr. became a world champion at the age of 27 after 21 professional fights. He challenged Kell Brook for the IBF welterweight title and stopped the champion in the 11th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
