Boxing Career
Carl Froch was born in Nottingham, England on July 2, 1977. He made his professional debut at the age of 24 years on March 16, 2002 against Michael Pinnock. Froch defeated Pinnock via 4th round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Froch became a world champion at the age of 31 after 23 professional fights. He challenged Jean Pascal for the vacant WBC super-middleweight title and defeated Pascal via 12-round unanimous decision, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the IBF and WBA super-middleweight world titles as well.
Froch's last fight was an 8th-round KO victory over George Groves at age 36, on May 31, 2014, in which he successfully defended his WBA (Unified) and IBF super-middleweight championship.
