Fabrice Tiozzo

Fabrice Tiozzo was born in St. Denis, France on May 8, 1969. He made his professional debut at the age of 19 years on November 10, 1988 against Dionisio Del Valle. Tiozzo defeated Valle via 4 round points decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.

Tiozzo got his first shot at a world title at the age of 23 after 25 professional fights. On April 3, 1993 Tiozzo challenged Virgil Hill's WBA light-heavyweight title but lost via 12-round split decision.

He became a world champion on June 16, 1995 at the age of 26 years, after by defeating Mike McCallum, the then-reining WBC light-heavyweight champion, via 12-round unanimous decision. This was his 33rd fight as a professional.

Tiozzo then went on to successfully win the cruiserweight (WBA) title also to become a two-division world champion.

Tiozzo's last fight was a 5th-round KO victory over Henry Saenz at age 37, on July 15, 2006.
