Virgil Hill (Quicksilver) is a 60-year-old retired American professional boxer. He is a two-weightclass world champion with 5 world-title wins. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) in 2013.
Virgil Hill's Boxing Career
Virgil Hill was born in Clinton, Missouri, U.S. on January 18, 1964. He made his professional debut at the age of 20 years on November 15, 1984 against Arthur Wright. Hill defeated Wright via 2nd round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Hill became a world champion at the age of 23 after 18 professional fights. He challenged Leslie Stewart for the WBA light-heavyweight title and stopped the champion in the 4th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the cruiserweight (WBA) title also to become a two-division world champion.
Hill's last fight was a 2nd-round TKO victory over Jimmy Campbell at age 51, on February 28, 2015.
