Devon Alexander's Boxing Career
Devon Alexander was born in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S. on February 10, 1987. He made his professional debut at the age of 17 years on May 20, 2004 against Vincent Torres. Alexander defeated Torres via 1st round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Alexander became a world champion at the age of 22 after 18 professional fights. He challenged Junior Witter for the vacant WBC super-lightweight title and stopped Witter in the 8th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the welterweight (IBF) title also to become a two-division world champion.
Alexander's latest fight was a 2nd-round TKO loss to Vlad Panin at age 37, on May 24, 2024.
