Tyrell Biggs was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. on December 22, 1960. He made his professional debut at the age of 23 years on November 15, 1984 against Mike Ronay Evans. Biggs defeated Evans via 6-round unanimous decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.

Biggs got his first world-title fight at the age of 26 after 15 professional fights. On October 16, 1987 Biggs challenged Mike Tyson's WBA, WBC, and IBF heavyweight titles but lost via 7th round TKO. Biggs never got a world-title shot again.
