Greg Haugen's Boxing Career

Greg Haugen was born in Auburn, Washington, U.S. on August 31, 1960. He made his professional debut at the age of 22 years on November 4, 1982 against Noel Arriesgado. Haugen defeated Arriesgado via 3 round points decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.

Haugen became a world champion at the age of 26 after 19 professional fights. He challenged Jimmy Paul for the IBF lightweight title and defeated the champion via 15-round majority decision, winning his first world title.

He then went on to successfully win the super-lightweight (WBO) titles also to become a two-division world champion.
