Naseem Hamed (Prince) is a 50-year-old retired British professional boxer. He is a former featherweight world champion with 3 world-title wins. Naseem Hamed's Boxing Career
Naseem Hamed was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England on February 12, 1974. He made his professional debut at the age of 18 years on February 14, 1992 against Ricky Beard. Hamed defeated Beard via 2nd round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Hamed became a world champion at the age of 21 after 19 professional fights. He challenged Steve Robinson for the WBO featherweight title and stopped the champion in the 8th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the IBF and WBC featherweight world titles as well.
Hamed's last fight was a unanimous decision victory over Manuel Calvo at age 28, on May 18, 2002.
