Anthony Crolla's Boxing Career
Anthony Crolla was born in Manchester, England on November 16, 1986. He made his professional debut at the age of 19 years on October 14, 2006 against Abdul Rashid. Crolla defeated Rashid via 4 round points decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Crolla got his first shot at a world title at the age of 28 after 35 professional fights. On July 18, 2015 Crolla challenged Darleys Pérez' WBA lightweight title but lost via 12-round majority decision.
In his next fight, he got another shot at the lightweight WBA title. This time he defeated Pérez via 12-round majority decision, winning his first world title.
Crolla's last fight was a majority decision victory over Frank Urquiaga at age 32, on November 2, 2019.
