Boxing Career
Bruce Seldon was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, U.S. on January 30, 1967. He made his professional debut at the age of 21 years on October 4, 1988 against Joel McGraw. Seldon defeated McGraw via 1st round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Seldon became a world champion at the age of 28 after 34 professional fights. He challenged Tony Tucker for the vacant WBA heavyweight title and stopped Tucker in the 7th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
Seldon's last fight was a 9th-round KO loss to Fres Oquendo at age 42, on July 24, 2009.
