Christophe Tiozzo was born in Seine-Saint-Denis, France on June 1, 1963. He made his professional debut at the age of 22 years on October 29, 1985 against Karl Barwise. Tiozzo defeated Barwise via 8 round points decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Tiozzo became a world champion at the age of 26 after 25 professional fights. He challenged In-Chul Baek for the WBA super-middleweight title and stopped the champion in the 6th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
Tiozzo's last fight was an points decision victory over Philippe Michel at age 32, on May 4, 1996.
