Badou Jack's Boxing Career
Badou Jack was born in Stockholm, Sweden on October 31, 1983. He made his professional debut at the age of 25 years on June 6, 2009 against Maxim Nikonorov. Jack defeated Nikonorov via 4-round unanimous decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Jack became a world champion at the age of 31 after 20 professional fights. He challenged Anthony Dirrell for the WBC super-middleweight title and defeated the champion via 12-round majority decision, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully conquer the light-heavyweight (WBA) and cruiserweight (WBC) divisions as well to become a three-division world champion.
Jack's latest fight was a 12th-round TKO victory over Ilunga Makabu at age 39, on February 26, 2023, in which he won the WBC cruiserweight world title.
