Boxing Career
Julius Indongo was born in Windhoek, Namibia on February 12, 1983. He made his professional debut at the age of 26 years on July 25, 2009 against Pohamba Mandume. Indongo defeated Mandume via 4 round points decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Indongo became a world champion at the age of 33 after 20 professional fights. He challenged Eduard Troyanovsky for the IBF super-lightweight title and stopped the champion in the 1st of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the WBA super-lightweight world title as well.
Indongo's latest fight was a 1st-round RTD loss to Ivan Kozlovsky at age 40, on May 27, 2023.
