Regis Prograis' Boxing Career
Regis Prograis was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S. on January 24, 1989. He made his professional debut at the age of 23 years on April 28, 2012 against Carl Almirol. Prograis defeated Almirol via 1st round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Prograis became a world champion at the age of 30 after 23 professional fights. He challenged Kiryl Relikh for the WBA super-lightweight title and stopped the champion in the 6th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the WBC super-lightweight world title as well.
Prograis' latest fight was a unanimous decision loss to Devin Haney at age 34, on December 9, 2023, in which he lost his WBC super-lightweight title.
