Brandon Figueroa's Boxing Career
Brandon Figueroa was born in Weslaco, Texas, U.S. on December 29, 1996. He made his professional debut at the age of 18 years on May 9, 2015 against Hector Gutierrez. Figueroa defeated Gutierrez via 4-round unanimous decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Figueroa got elevated as the WBA (Regular) super-bantamweight champion at the age of 22 after 21 professional fights, and had his first world-title defense fight against Julio Ceja on November 23, 2019. The fight ended in a draw.
He then went on to successfully win the WBC super-bantamweight world title as well.
Figueroa's latest fight was a 9th-round KO victory over Jessie Magdaleno at age 27, on May 4, 2024.
