Boxing Career
Oscar Collazo was born in Newark, New Jersey, U.S. on January 15, 1997. He made his professional debut at the age of 23 years on February 15, 2020 against Vicente Castro Cheneque. Collazo defeated Cheneque via 3rd round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Collazo became a world champion at the age of 26 after 6 professional fights. He challenged Melvin Jerusalem for the WBO strawweight title and stopped the champion in the 7th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the WBA and The Ring strawweight world titles as well.
Collazo's latest fight was a 5th-round KO victory over Edwin Cano Hernandez at age 28, on March 29, 2025, in which he successfully defended his WBO, WBA, and The Ring strawweight championship.
