Sultan Ibragimov was born in Tlyarata, Dagestan ASSR, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union on March 8, 1975. He made his professional debut at the age of 27 years on May 25, 2002 against Tracy Williams. Ibragimov defeated Williams via 1st round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
