Pone Kingpetch was born in Hua Hin, Thailand on February 12, 1935. He made his professional debut at the age of 19 years on May 1, 1954 against Noknid Sorsor. Kingpetch defeated Sorsor via 2nd round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Kingpetch became a world champion at the age of 25 after 22 professional fights. He challenged Pascual Pérez for the The Ring flyweight title and defeated the champion via 15-round split decision, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the WBA and WBC flyweight world titles as well — and undisputed at flyweight.
Kingpetch's last fight was a 4th-round KO victory over Kumanthong Yontarakit at age 31, on April 13, 1966.
