Baek In-Chul Losses

Baek In-Chul had three losses in his professional boxing career of 50 fights — two of them in world-title fights and one in a non-title fight. Two of these losses came via way of KO. Here is the complete list of In-Chul's losses in reverse chronological order:

    Baek In-Chul loses to Christophe Tiozzo

    On March 30, 1990, the 28-year-old WBA super-middleweight world champion, Baek In-Chul (47-2, 43 KOs), faced a 26-year-old French boxer Christophe Tiozzo (25-0, 17 KOs), in a title defense fight.

    In-Chul came in to the fight on a 6-fight win streak with a 87% KO rate, and was fighting after a gap of 2 months and 17 days. Tiozzo was on a 25-fight win streak with a 68% KO rate, and fighting after a layoff of 4 months and 5 days.

    Christophe Tiozzo stopped the champion via TKO in the 6th round of the 12-round world-title fight, winning the first world title of his career, and is crowned the new WBA super-middleweight champion. Tiozzo improves his record to 26-0 (18 KOs), while In-Chul adds a loss to his record at 47-3.

    Baek In-Chul loses to Julian Jackson

    On November 21, 1987, a 25-year-old Baek In-Chul (41-1, 37 KOs) got a shot at the super-welterweight WBA title held by 27-year-old Virgin Islander boxer Julian Jackson (31-1, 29 KOs).

    In-Chul came in to the fight on a 15-fight win streak with a 88% KO rate, and was fighting after a gap of 4 months and 9 days. Jackson was on a 2-fight win streak with a 90% KO rate, and fighting after a layoff of 6 months and 28 days.

    Julian Jackson made easy work of Baek In-chul, stopping In-chul via TKO in the 3rd. Jackson improves his record to 32-1 (30 KOs), while In-Chul adds a loss to his record at 41-2.

    Baek In-Chul loses to Sean Mannion

    On May 19, 1983, a 21-year-old Baek In-Chul (26-0, 26 KOs) and Sean Mannion met in the ring.

    In-Chul came in to the fight on a 26-fight win streak with a 100% KO rate, and was fighting after a gap of 1 month and 22 days.

    Baek In-Chul lost to Sean Mannion via points decision in the 10-round fight, and adds an loss to his record at 26-1.
