Glen Kelly was born in La Perouse, Sydney, Australia on March 8, 1971. He made his professional debut at the age of 27 years on April 24, 1998 against John Wyborn. Kelly defeated Wyborn via 3rd round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Kelly got his first world-title fight at the age of 30 after 10 professional fights. On February 2, 2002 Kelly challenged Roy Jones Jr.'s WBA, WBC, IBF, and The Ring light-heavyweight titles but lost via 7th round KO. Kelly never got a world-title shot again.
Kelly's last fight was a 2nd-round TKO loss to David Haye at age 33, on March 4, 2005.
