Michael Moorer (Double M) is a 57-year-old retired American professional boxer. He is a two-weightclass world champion with 5 world-title wins. Michael Moorer's Boxing Career
Michael Moorer was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, U.S. on November 12, 1967. He made his professional debut at the age of 20 years on March 4, 1988 against Adrian Riggs. Moorer defeated Riggs via 1st round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Moorer became a world champion at the age of 21 after 11 professional fights. He challenged Ramzi Hassan for the WBO light-heavyweight title and stopped the champion in the 5th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the heavyweight (WBO, WBA, IBF) titles also to become a two-division world champion.
Moorer's last fight was a 1st-round KO victory over Shelby Gross at age 40, on February 8, 2008.
