Ruslan Provodnikov

Ruslan Provodnikov was born in Beryozovo, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union on January 20, 1984. He made his professional debut at the age of 22 years on December 3, 2006 against Kirill Artemiev. Provodnikov defeated Artemiev via 4-round unanimous decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.

Provodnikov got his first shot at a world title at the age of 29 after 23 professional fights. On March 16, 2013 Provodnikov challenged Timothy Bradley's WBO welterweight title but lost via 12-round unanimous decision.

In his next fight, he got another shot at the welterweight WBO title — this time against Mike Alvarado. He defeated Alvarado via 12-round unanimous decision, winning his first world title.

Provodnikov's last fight was a unanimous decision loss to John Molina Jr. at age 32, on June 11, 2016.
