Sadam Ali's Boxing Career
Sadam Ali was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, U.S. on September 26, 1988. He made his professional debut at the age of 20 years on January 17, 2009 against Ricky Thompson. Ali defeated Thompson via 1st round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Ali got his first shot at a world title at the age of 27 after 22 professional fights. On March 5, 2016 Ali challenged Jessie Vargas' WBO welterweight title but lost via 9th round TKO.
He became a world champion on December 2, 2017 at the age of 29 years, after by defeating Miguel Cotto in a clash for the vacant WBO super-welterweight champion. Ali won the fight via 12-round unanimous decision. This was his 27th fight as a professional.
