Boxing Career
Celestino Caballero was born in Colón, Panama on June 21, 1976. He made his professional debut at the age of 22 years on November 18, 1998 against Victor Perez. Caballero defeated Perez via 4-round unanimous decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Caballero became a world champion at the age of 30 after 26 professional fights. He challenged Somsak Sithchatchawal for the WBA super-bantamweight title and stopped the champion in the 3rd of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the featherweight (WBA) title also to become a two-division world champion.
Caballero's last fight was a unanimous decision loss to Adrian Estrella at age 38, on October 4, 2014.
