Johann Duhaupas was born in Abbeville, Somme, France on February 5, 1981. He made his professional debut at the age of 23 years on February 6, 2004 against Stephane Poulade. Duhaupas defeated Poulade via 3rd round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Duhaupas got his first shot at a world title at the age of 34 after 34 professional fights. On September 26, 2015 Duhaupas challenged Deontay Wilder's WBC heavyweight title but lost via 11th round TKO. He is yet to get another shot at a world title.
