Frankie Randall (The Surgeon) was an American professional boxer. He was a super-lightweight world champion with 3 world-title wins. In a career spanning 22 years, 5 months, and 11 days, Randall amassed a record of 58-18-1, which includes 42 wins via KO, 1 of which was in a world-title fight.
Frankie Randall was born in Birmingham, Alabama, U.S. on September 25, 1961. He made his professional debut at the age of 21 years on February 4, 1983 against Curtis Gholston. Randall defeated Gholston via 2nd round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Randall became a world champion at the age of 32 after 51 professional fights. He challenged Julio César Chávez for the WBC super-lightweight title and defeated the champion via 12-round split decision, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the WBA super-lightweight world title as well.
Randall's last fight was a 6th-round TKO loss to Craig Weber at age 43, on July 15, 2005.
