Ángel Ayala was born in Texcoco de Mora, Mexico on May 11, 2000. He made his professional debut at the age of 18 years on March 7, 2019 against Christopher Celaya. Ayala defeated Celaya via 2nd round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Ayala became a world champion at the age of 24 after 16 professional fights. He challenged Dave Apolinario for the vacant IBF flyweight title and stopped Apolinario in the 6th of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
