Boxing Career
Luisito Espinosa was born in Tondo, Manila, Philippines on June 26, 1967. He made his professional debut at the age of 16 years on May 25, 1984 against Vladimer Raffy. Espinosa defeated Raffy via 4 round points decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Espinosa became a world champion at the age of 22 after 26 professional fights. He challenged Kaokor Galaxy for the WBA bantamweight title and stopped the champion in the 1st of the 12-round fight, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the featherweight (WBC) titles also to become a two-division world champion.
Espinosa's last fight was a 3rd-round TKO loss to Cristóbal Cruz at age 37, on February 18, 2005.
