Boxing Career
Saensak Muangsurin was born in Tambon Ban Sadiang, Amphoe Mueang Phetchabun, Phetchabun province, Thailand on August 13, 1950. He made his professional debut at the age of 24 years on November 16, 1974 against Rudy Barro. Muangsurin defeated Barro via 1st round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Muangsurin became a world champion at the age of 24 after 2 professional fights. He challenged Perico Fernandez for the WBC super-lightweight title and stopped the champion in the 8th of the 15-round fight, winning his first world title.
Muangsurin's last fight was a majority decision loss to Chung-Jae Hwang at age 30, on April 5, 1981.
