Angelo Leo's Boxing Career
Angelo Leo was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S. on May 15, 1994. He made his professional debut at the age of 18 years on November 17, 2012 against Jesus Pacheco. Leo defeated Pacheco via 4-round majority decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Leo became a world champion at the age of 26 after 19 professional fights. He challenged Tramaine Williams for the vacant WBO super-bantamweight title and defeated Williams via 12-round unanimous decision, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the featherweight (IBF) titles also to become a two-division world champion.
Leo's latest fight was a 10th-round KO victory over Luis Alberto Lopez at age 30, on August 10, 2024, in which he won the IBF featherweight world title.
