Pedro Taduran Record

Pedro Taduran was born in Libon, Albay, Philippines on October 29, 1996. He made his professional debut at the age of 18 years on May 16, 2015 against Nathaniel Marasigan. Taduran defeated Marasigan via 1st round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.

Taduran got his first shot at a world title at the age of 21 after 13 professional fights. On August 29, 2018 Taduran challenged Wanheng Menayothin's WBC strawweight title but lost via 12-round unanimous decision.

He became a world champion on September 7, 2019 at the age of 22 years, after by defeating Samuel Salva, the then-reining IBF strawweight champion, via 4th round RTD. This was his 16th fight as a professional.

Taduran's latest fight was a 9th-round TKO victory over Ginjiro Shigeoka at age 27, on July 28, 2024, in which he won the IBF strawweight world title.
