Daniel Valladares was born in Monterrey, Mexico on June 10, 1994. He made his professional debut at the age of 19 years on February 14, 2014 against Carlos Bernal. Valladares defeated Bernal via 4-round unanimous decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Valladares got his first shot at a world title at the age of 25 after 23 professional fights. On February 1, 2020 Valladares challenged Pedro Taduran's IBF strawweight title but lost via 4 round technical decision.
He became a world champion on July 1, 2022 at the age of 28 years, after by defeating Rene Mark Cuarto, the then-reining IBF strawweight champion, via 12-round split decision. This was his 30th fight as a professional.
