Károly Balzsay's Boxing Career
Károly Balzsay was born in Kecskemét, Bács-Kiskun, Hungary on July 23, 1979. He made his professional debut at the age of 25 years on September 11, 2004 against Milojko Pivljanin. Balzsay defeated Pivljanin via 3rd round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Balzsay became a world champion at the age of 29 after 19 professional fights. He challenged Denis Inkin for the WBO super-middleweight title and defeated the champion via 12-round unanimous decision, winning his first world title.
He then went on to successfully win the WBA super-middleweight world title as well.
Balzsay's last fight was a 12th-round TKO victory over Dimitri Sartison at age 32, on April 21, 2012, in which he successfully defended his WBA (Regular) super-middleweight championship.
