Andy Lee's Boxing Career
Andy Lee was born in Bow, London, England on June 11, 1984. He made his professional debut at the age of 21 years on March 10, 2006 against Anthony Cannon. Lee defeated Cannon via 6-round unanimous decision, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Lee got his first shot at a world title at the age of 28 after 29 professional fights. On June 16, 2012 Lee challenged Julio César Chávez Jr.'s WBC middleweight title but lost via 7th round TKO.
He became a world champion on December 13, 2014 at the age of 30 years, after by defeating Matt Korobov, the then-reining WBO middleweight champion, via 6th round TKO. This was his 36th fight as a professional.
Lee's last fight was an unanimous decision victory over KeAndrae Leatherwood at age 32, on March 18, 2017.
