Amnat Ruenroeng was born in Amphoe Si Racha, Chonburi Province, eastern Thailand on December 18, 1979. He made his professional debut at the age of 32 years on May 18, 2012 against Rino Ukru. Ruenroeng defeated Ukru via 4th round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Ruenroeng became a world champion at the age of 34 after 11 professional fights. He challenged Rocky Fuentes for the vacant IBF flyweight title and defeated Fuentes via 12-round unanimous decision, winning his first world title.
