Janibek Alimkhanuly was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan on April 1, 1993. He made his professional debut at the age of 23 years on October 29, 2016 against Milton Núñez. Alimkhanuly defeated Núñez via 1st round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.

Alimkhanuly got elevated as the WBO middleweight champion at the age of 29 after 13 professional fights, and had his first world-title defense fight against Denzel Bentley on November 12, 2022. He defeated Bentley via 12-round unanimous decision.

He then went on to successfully win the IBF middleweight world title as well.

Alimkhanuly's latest fight was a 9th-round TKO victory over Andrei Mikhailovich at age 31, on October 4, 2024, in which he successfully defended his IBF middleweight championship.

Janibek Alimkhanuly Next Fight: He is next scheduled to fight Anauel Ngamissengue (14-0, 9 KOs) on April 5, 2025. He will be defending his IBF and WBO middleweight titles. On the day of the fight, he will be 32 years old, and Ngamissengue 29.
