Siarhei Liakhovich was born in Vitebsk, Belarus on May 29, 1976. He made his professional debut at the age of 22 years on December 25, 1998 against Ihar Sharapau. Liakhovich defeated Sharapau via 1st round KO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
