Antonio Orozco was born in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico on October 30, 1987. He made his professional debut at the age of 20 years on June 27, 2008 against Ricardo Martinez. Orozco defeated Martinez via 3rd round TKO, making a successful beginning of his pro career.
Orozco got his first shot at a world title at the age of 30 after 27 professional fights. On September 14, 2018 Orozco challenged José Carlos Ramírez' WBC super-lightweight title but lost via 12-round unanimous decision. Orozco never got a world-title shot again.
