    Kenshiro Teraji loses to Masamichi Yabuki in their 1st fight

    On September 22, 2021, the 29-year-old WBC light-flyweight world champion, Kenshiro Teraji (18-0, 10 KOs), faced a 29-year-old fellow Japanese boxer Masamichi Yabuki (12-3, 11 KOs), in a title defense fight.

    Teraji came in to the fight on a 18-fight win streak with a 55% KO rate, and was fighting after a gap of 4 months and 29 days. Yabuki was on a 5-fight win streak with a 73% KO rate, and fighting after a layoff of 8 months and 27 days.
