Tsuyoshi Hamada was defending his super-lightweight WBC titles against Rene Arredondo and lost via TKO in the 6th round, and adds a loss to his record at 21-2.

On October 23, 1979, an 18-year-old Tsuyoshi Hamada (2-0, 2 KOs) and Fusao Imai met in the ring.
Hamada came in to the fight on a 2-fight win streak with a 100% KO rate, and was fighting after a gap of 19 days.
Tsuyoshi Hamada lost to Fusao Imai via points decision in the 4-round fight, and adds a loss to his record at 2-1.
